Ikea US Retail LLC failed to defeat a former employee’s claims of interference and retaliation after she took leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act after a federal court in Pennsylvania denied its motion for summary judgment.
Ikea said that Lori Thompson’s leadership issues were the cause for her termination, but the US District Court for Eastern District of Pennsylvania found that there were genuine disputes of material facts that a jury could find in Thompson’s favor.
