Ikea Customers Say Recalled Dresser Suit Warrants Class Status

Consumers alleging an Ikea recall of millions of dressers that are prone to tipping over was “badly orchestrated” told a Pennsylvania federal court their suit warrants class status.

With a large number of class members, common legal and factual issues, named plaintiffs who typify class members, and adequate representation by the plaintiffs and their lawyers, this suit meets class certification requirements, Diana and John Dukich say.

And the predominating issues will focus on Ikea’s common actions in prosecuting the recall, the plaintiffs say in a Thursday filing to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
