A challenge to Idaho’s ban on transgender athletes participating in girls’ and women’s sports must be dismissed as moot because the lead plaintiff Lindsey Hecox is no longer a student at Boise State University, the state attorney general said in a brief filed in the Ninth Circuit.
And high school student Jane Doe lacks standing to sue based on the “speculative” risk of having her sex disputed, the state said. She’s also set to graduate within days, the state told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Thursday.
