A federal judge upheld Idaho’s voter identification requirements, rejecting arguments from advocacy groups representing young and older voters that the list of valid verification documents is unconstitutionally narrow.
Under House Bills 124 and 340, Idaho residents must show a passport, Idaho drivers’ license or identification card, tribal identification card, or a Idaho concealed carry license in order to register to vote and cast their ballot.
