IBM failed to defeat a lawsuit by a White male former employee alleging he was terminated based on race and sex because he didn’t fit the company’s “preferred demographic,” a Michigan federal judge ruled.

Randall Dill’s claims survived International Business Machines Corp.'s motion to dismiss because he sufficiently alleged discrimination under Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and 42 U.S.C. §1981, the US District Court for the Western District of Michigan said Wednesday.
