Hyundai Tech Affiliate Data Breach Suit Is Voluntarily Dismissed

A Hyundai Motor Group customer who sued IT affiliate Hyundai AutoEver America after a data breach voluntarily withdrew his proposed class action.

Hyundai said the breach impacted about 2,000 people who were primarily employees or those who had employment-related data stored with the IT affiliate. Seven Haynes’ lawsuit filed in the US District Court for the Central District of California in November suggested the proposed class size was much larger, comprising as many as 2.7 million people.
