Hyundai Drivers Sue Over Tow Harness Recalled Due to Fire Risk

Hyundai Motor America faces a proposed class action from drivers alleging they weren’t adequately compensated for defective tow hitch harnesses that were recalled.

The lawsuit stems from Hyundai’s recall of more than 245,000 of its model year 2020 to 2022 Palisade SUVs that were equipped with the defective harnesses, which increased the risk of electric shorts and fires due to debris and moisture build up.
