Hyperice Inc. Alleges Therabody Infringed Massage Device Patent

A muscle recovery company filed a patent lawsuit Wednesday alleging its “Battery-Powered Percussive Massage Device” was infringed by a direct competitor.

Hyperice Inc. claims Therabody Inc. is infringing its massage device patent by manufacturing and selling a device that has a similar internal makeup. Hyperice received a patent protection in January 2024 for a percussive massage device it claims it has developed and manufactured since at least 2018.

The plaintiff alleged the defendant’s TheraFace Pro, Theragun Pro, Theragun Sense, Theragun Elite, Theragun Prime, and Theragun mini infringe its patent.
