Humana Accused of Misleading Investors About Post-Covid Costs

Humana Inc. was sued by an investor who alleges the health insurer downplayed the risk of pent-up demand for health-care procedures, especially as concerns about Covid-19 abated.

Humana faced higher costs as demand for medical services surged following the pandemic, despite executives’ repeated assurances it wasn’t a concern, the complaint, filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, said.

Humana didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
