Hub Group’s $4.75 Million Misclassification Settlement Approved

Hub Group Inc. will pay $4.75 million to settle class action claims that the transportation company misclassified drivers in California as independent contractors, under an agreement given final approval by the Western District of Tennessee.

Counsel for the plaintiffs will also receive $950,000 in fees, and lead plaintiffs will get $125,000 in service awards, to be deducted from the total figure, under the agreement approved by Judge Samuel H. Mays Jr. of the US District Court for the Western District of Tennessee Wednesday.
