The inspiration behind the protagonist in “Hotel Rwanda” landed a second shot with his lawsuit alleging a Greek charter airline is liable in his kidnapping and ensuing imprisonment, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday.
A district court wrongly concluded it didn’t have personal jurisdiction to hear the lawsuit from Paul Rusesabagina and his family against GainJet Aviation SA, a per curiam opinion by the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit said. The court reversed the suit’s dismissal and remanded it to evaluate subject matter jurisdiction in the first instance.
