Frisco Medical Center LLP and Texas Regional Medical Center LLP shed two claims certified by a lower court in a class action alleging the facilities engaged in false and misleading practices by charging undisclosed an emergency room visit fees.
Paula Chestnut and Wendy Bolen sued the two hospitals on behalf of themselves and others, alleging their ER visit fees were hidden until after they received a bill for their services. At no time did the hospital tell them they were liable for an extra ER visit fee, they alleged.
