Horse Trainer Challenges SafeSport Suspension System in Suit (1)

A professional horse trainer has sued the United States Center for Safesport Inc., and another organization, claiming they destroyed his career through unfair suspension procedures and seeking to overturn his indefinite ban and recover damages.

Christian Heineking alleges the organizations suspended him without proper hearings based on uncorroborated sexual misconduct allegations, violating federal due process requirements and antitrust laws. He filed his complaint Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
