The co-founder of a rival medical training company must face a lawsuit alleging he violated the Texas Theft Liability Act and stole trade secrets from his former employer, a state appeals court said.
BioTE Medical LLC, formerly known as SottoPelle Texas LLC, won an appeal to overturn portions of a no-evidence summary judgment against Larry Medcalf for violations of the TTLA, trade secret theft under the Texas Uniform Trade Secrets Act, and a breach of contract claim, the Texas Court of Appeals, Fifth District said.
