Hopper Hit With Copyright Infringement Suit Over Wildlife Photos

Hopper Inc. is allegedly using a wildlife and nature stock photo company’s copyrighted images through one of its subsidiaries without permission, a new lawsuit said.

Minden Pictures Inc. sued the US arm of Hopper for copyright infringement alleging it operates Marriott Bonvoy’s tours and activities site and has been using its work for at least the last three years, according to the complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Hopper allegedly downloaded and used the copyrighted works in creating the web pages to “attract users to visit and purchase travel packages,” the complaint said. ...
