Honda Owes Alabama Workers Post-Kronos Hack OT, Suit Says (1)

A Honda subsidiary failed to pay Alabama workers proper overtime when a ransomware attack blocked the company’s access to the Kronos timekeeping system it used, according to a new suit filed in federal court in the state.

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America LLC could have “easily” set up a system to accurately record time during the outage, which started in December 2021, but instead made the “most economically vulnerable people in its workforce” shoulder the cost, worker Brandon Whatley tells the US District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
