Honda Investor Claims Carmaker Oversold Idle Feature Safety (1)

Honda Motor Co. falsely touted the effectiveness and safety of a fuel-saving feature in some models that turns the engine off instead of idling, subjecting the automaker to litigation and other harm, an investor says on behalf of a proposed class.

The price of Honda American Depository Shares fell more than 3% on Sept. 29, 2022, after a proposed consumer class action publicized the alleged problem with thousands of vehicles, investor Rhonda Baylor says. She filed her suit Thursday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
