Honda Hit With Proposed Class Action Over Automatic Brake System

Honda allegedly knew that the automatic emergency brakes in 2019-2022 Honda Insight and Honda Passport vehicles didn’t perform well, a new class action says, but continued to put them on the road without sufficient warning.

Andrea Sivakova says had she known Honda vehicles were prone to “sudden, unintended braking” in the middle of traffic, she wouldn’t have purchased her car on the terms she did. She alleges, in the complaint filed in US District Court for the Central District of California, that Honda “actively concealed” the defect from its customers at the time of purchase or repair.
