Home Security Workers Win $5 Million Wage Suit Settlement Nod

Defenders Inc. and security workers who say it undercounted their hours and failed to pay proper overtime may end their dispute with a $5 million settlement, a federal court in Delaware said.

The home security firm, which ADT Inc. acquired in 2020, allegedly owes wages to its security advisors and service technicians. “The employees are getting a good deal and the attorneys request reasonable fees,” so settlement approval is appropriate, the US District Court for the District of Delaware said.
