Home Health Workers Get Wage Verdict Affirmed by D.C. High Court

A now-defunct home health services agency and its CEO are liable for almost $315,000 in unpaid wages and penalties to nearly 50 former employees who testified at trial, but not to 87 others who didn’t testify, the District of Columbia’s top court ruled Thursday.

All 136 individuals filed complaints with the D.C. Office of Wage-Hour Compliance stating they were former employees of and weren’t paid by Dynamic Vision Inc. The D.C. Attorney General’s office filed an enforcement action against Dynamic and its chief executive officer Isaiah Bongam for violations of the District’s wage law after the WHC concluded its investigation. ...
