Home Depot’s $9.5 Million Meal Break Settlement Gets Final Nod

Home Depot Inc. reached a fair $9.5 million settlement with associate workers who said the home improvement store chain failed to provide legally required breaks, a federal court said.

Over 32,000 associate employees who worked for Home Depot between 2018 and 2024 said administrative and staffing policies prevented them from taking full meal and rest breaks, according to court documents filed in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
