HireVue Inc. couldn’t shake most claims from a proposed class action that alleged that it improperly collected the biometric identifiers of Illinois residents when they applied for jobs.
The six Illinois residents failed to allege that the artificial intelligence and hiring platform profited from the sale of their biometric data under the state’s Biometric Information Privacy Act when they only plead that HireVue profited from the sale of its software, Judge Jeremy C. Daniel, of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, said Monday.
