High Court Won’t Review Teens’ App Defect Claims Against Yolo

The US Supreme Court on Monday declined to review the dismissal of product liability claims against an anonymous messaging app that teen victims of cyberbullying said enabled harassment against them.

The children and their families asked the Supreme Court to clarify whether Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act immunized anonymous messaging apps from product liability claims. That provision of the CDA shields companies from being held liable for moderating content on their platforms.
