The US Department of Health and Human Services failed to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request about detained unaccompanied immigrant pregnant minors, the ACLU alleged in a new suit Wednesday.
HHS has failed to adhere to, or even acknowledge, a FOIA request the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation made in February 2025, the legal advocacy group said in its complaint. The group is asking the US District Court for the Southern District of New York to order the US to process all of the ACLU’s relevant requests and enjoin the federal government from charging any associated fees. ...
