Hewlett Packard, Ex-Employee Settle Gender Bias, Equal Pay Suit

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. and a subsidiary reached a settlement with a former sales employee who claimed she was treated and paid unequally, harassed because of her gender, and faced retaliation for complaining.

Judge Haywood S. Gilliam Jr. conditionally dismissed the case with prejudice after the parties notified the court of their settlement, according to a Wednesday order for the US District Court for the Northern District of California. Eileen Sangster, a former major account manager, sued Hewlett and Aruba Networks LLC in 2023 for gender discrimination and retaliation under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act, among other claims. ...
