Henkel Defeats Suits Over Laundry Products’ Load Capacity Labels

Henkel Corp. convinced a federal judge to dismiss two lawsuits alleging it overstated how many laundry loads the detergent in an 88-ounce container and the fabric softener in a 96-ounce container could handle.

The plaintiffs in neither suit plausibly alleged a misrepresentation because “load” isn’t a quantifiable measure, the US District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri said Thursday.
