Help at Home Wins Approval of $1.8 Million Overtime Settlement

An home-care agency focusing on eldery patients will pay $1.8 million to resolve an employee class action alleging that it had an unwritten policy requiring them to under-report overtime.

Help at Home LLC’s settlement agreement received final approval from Judge Sheila M. Finnegan of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Tuesday, bringing an end to the class and collective claims that it violated the Federal Labor Standards Act and Illinois labor law.
