HelloFresh $14 Million Spam-Call Settlement Tossed on Appeal

A federal appellate court threw out a proposed $14 million settlement of a class action alleging that meal-delivery service HelloFresh made calls to consumers in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

The lack of separate settlement counsel for distinct groups of class members made it too difficult for the court to determine whether the settlement treated class members equitably, the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit said Friday.
