HealthEC LLC, a health-care technology company, will contribute to a near $5.5 million fund to settle a lawsuit stemming from a 2023 data breach that allegedly exposed the personal information of over 4,600,000 patients.
The settlement class is limited to approximately 1.6 million patients of healthcare providers who were defendants in the consolidated case in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
