Health-Care On-Call Service Sued Over Three-Month Data Breach

ConnectOnCall.com LLC negligently failed to protect the personal health information of more than 914,000 people that was exposed in data breach that took place over three-months beginning in February, a proposed federal class action said.

Lead plaintiff Selena Moorer alleged that ConnectOnCall breached its duties under common law, contract law, industry standards, and the Federal Trade Commission Act to provide reasonable and adequate data-security measures, encrypt or redact sensitive data, or provide timely notice of the breach.
