Harvard may have violated antidiscrimination laws in its response to campus unrest in the wake of Hamas’s attack on Israel, a Massachusetts federal judge held Tuesday.
“The facts as pled show that Harvard failed its Jewish students,” US District Court for the District of Massachusetts Judge Richard Stearns held in an order dismissing part of a complaint brought by a coalition of Jewish students against the university, while allowing some of their claims to move forward.
The lawsuit is one of several across the country brought by students claiming their schools didn’t adequately protect them from antisemitism on campus.
