Harvard Contract Claims Filed Too Late Against Insurance Broker

Harvard University’s contract claims against insurance broker Marsh USA Inc., seeking to recoup up to $15 million in legal fees associated with defending its use of affirmative action in admissions, were dismissed in federal court for being time-barred.

Harvard filed its lawsuit in October 2023, one year after the six-year statute of limitations passed on its contract claims against Marsh, US District Court for the District of Massachusetts Judge Allison Burroughs said in her Thursday opinion.
