Harley-Davidson Hit With Class Suit Over Debt-Collection Calls

Harley-Davidson Financial Services Inc. harassed Illinois residents who purchased motorcycles on an installment plan by incessantly calling them and leaving automated messages, a lawsuit filed in federal court alleges.

Christine Johnson said she purchased a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in August 2020, and entered into a retail installment contract to finance her purchase. The contract required her to make payments by a certain day every month, and included a 10-day grace period for those payments.
