Firearm Restrictions Challenged After Trump Bill Changes (2)

Gun registration requirements and other restrictions in the National Firearms Act became unconstitutional when Congress and President Donald Trump enacted the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court.

The US District Court for the Northern District of Texas should find that the NFA’s registration and transfer requirements concerning untaxed firearms exceed Congress’ enumerated powers, and enjoin the government from enforcing the NFA with respect to untaxed firearms, the July 4 suit says.
