Gun and sporting organizations filed an emergency request to block California from enforcing its ban on any firearm advertisement that “reasonably appears attractive to minors.”
The groups, including Junior Sports Magazine Inc. and Second Amendment Foundation, already convinced the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit that the rule in California Business and Professions Code Section 22949.80 is “likely unconstitutional” and warranted issuing a preliminary injunction. But the court also granted California Attorney General Robert Bonta a 45-day extension to file a petition for rehearing en banc, which plaintiffs argue has improperly delayed their injunctive relief.
