Gucci Accused of Discrimination, Retaliation by Former Employee

A former Gucci employee sued the luxury retailer for workplace discrimination and sexual harassment, claiming violations of federal civil rights laws and seeking more than $150,000 in damages.

Leia Delgado filed the lawsuit against Gucci America Inc., according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The filing alleges the company maintained discriminatory grooming standards that prohibited natural Black hairstyles, failed to address sexual harassment by a client, and fired Delgado in retaliation for her complaints.
