Guard Dog Telehealth Barred From Interoperability System Access

Health records provider Epic Systems Corp. and several health-care providers have settled their claims against one defendant in a lawsuit alleging unauthorized access to health data on a patient-data interoperability platform operated by Health Gorilla Inc.

Under a stipulated judgment and permanent injunction filed March 13 in the US District Court for the Central District of California, Guard Dog Telehealth is permanently barred from requesting, using, or disseminating records from Health Gorilla’s Carequality platform, and is required to delete any records it had previously obtained.
