The owner of a construction company accused of lying and paying bribes to win $125 million worth of overseas construction contracts was sentenced Friday to 10 years in prison, to be followed by three years’ supervised release.
Montage Inc. owner Sina Moayedi pleaded guilty in April to conspiracy to commit wire and bank fraud, conspiracy to commit bribery of a public official, and aggravated identity theft before Judge Jed S. Rakoff. He also admitted to obstruction of justice for deleting electronic evidence while briefly out on bail.
