Google Workers Win Nod for Nearly $8.4 Million Wage Suit Deal

Google LLC and workers who say it miscalculated their overtime pay rates may move forward with an almost $8.4 million settlement after a federal judge granted the deal initial approval.

The settlement covers a state-law class for non-exempt employees of the Alphabet Inc. subsidiary who worked in California and a Fair Labor Standards Act collective for similar employees who worked in all other states, Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton of the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Monday.
