Google Shakes Pixel Smartphone Patent Suit Over Third-Party App

Google LLC defeated a lawsuit alleging its Pixel 5 smartphone infringes several patents for a multi-sensor detection and disabling lock system.

Google asked the US District Court for the Northern District of California to dismiss Larry Golden’s lawsuit, which alleged the company infringed his exclusive right to commercialize the at-issue technology when it developed and marketed its Pixel phones.
