Google Hit With Biden Rule Suits Over China-Based Data Transfers

Google LLC was hit with three proposed class actions alleging it shared consumers’ information with China-based companies in violation of federal and state privacy laws.

Lead plaintiffs Nicole McGrath, Trisha Nadeau, and Barbara Jenkins alleged in separate lawsuits that Google intercepts information about the browsing activity of US consumers and transmits the data to third-parties participating in Google’s “advertising ecosystem,” including companies controlled by the Chinese government or subject to its jurisdiction.
