Google Gets Respite From Some Worker Race Discrimination Claims

Google LLC is free for now of some racial bias claims because the allegations in the workers’ complaint are conclusory, but a federal judge said the plaintiffs can fix up their filings and try again.

Jurisdictional issues prevent one worker from moving forward with some of her individual discrimination allegations against the Alphabet Inc. subsidiary, and another worker’s individual claims are the “epitome of conclusory pleading,” the US District Court for the Northern District of California said Thursday.
