Goodyear Tire Hit With Post-Cyberattack Overtime Allegations

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is the latest in a string of employers to face accusations of failing to make sure workers received proper overtime payments after a cyberattack temporarily knocked its third-party timekeeping system offline.

The tire manufacturer used Ultimate Kronos Group’s timekeeping service to track work hours, but when an outage sidelined the program, Goodyear didn’t come up with an accurate alternative to ensure workers received their full wages on time, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Arizona.
