Goodyear Beats Session Replay Suit on Jurisdictional Grounds

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. defeated a proposed class action alleging its use of session replay tracking software on its website violated Massachusetts privacy laws.

Plaintiff Joe Alves failed to show that Goodyear’s use of the website surveillance software had a sufficient connection to Massachusetts to establish jurisdiction in the state, Judge William G. Young of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts said July 24.
