Four Golden Gate University law students and an alumni association sued the the California non-profit institution for ending its law degree program after 123 years.
The lawsuit, filed in San Francisco Superior Court, blamed the “tragic and unnecessary pending closure” of the law school to “poor leadership” and “lack of transparency primarily by University President David J. Fike.” The plaintiffs seek to block the program’s closure at the end of spring.
