Sneaker and apparel marketplace 1661 Inc., which does business as GOAT, agreed Monday to pay more than $2 million to settle Federal Trade Commission allegations that the company misrepresented shipping times and didn’t offer adequate refunds.
The agency filed a stipulated order and complaint, which alleged that GOAT didn’t fulfill its shipping time frame promises to buyers, failed to properly refund consumers for late shipments, and misrepresented its Buyer’s Protection Program.
