Globe Life Inc. and subsidiary American Income Life Insurance Co. will pay up to $4.66 million to settle a proposed class action alleging the insurance companies negligently failed to protect the personal information of more than 532,000 people that was exposed in a 2025 data breach.
Class members would be eligible for up to $5,000 in reimbursement for documented losses related to the breach, and up to $72 in compensation for lost time, according to a motion for preliminary approval of the settlement filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
