Glassdoor Defeats Jet Operator’s Defamation Claims Over Reviews

Glassdoor Inc. persuaded a federal judge in California to reject defamation claims filed by a private jet company over criticism posted on the job review website.

Glassdoor successfully argued that it was shielded by a federal law that immunizes internet platforms from lawsuits stemming from user-generated content, Chief District Judge Richard Seeborg in the US District Court for the Northern District of California said in a Jan. 17 order granting Glassdoor’s motion for judgment on the pleadings.
