A federal judge approved a settlement agreement between GKN Driveline North America Inc. and two fired machine operators over claims of wage theft, and in one of the worker’s cases, age discrimination and wrongful termination.
Judge Loretta Biggs of the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina approved the settlement on Wednesday, dismissing all remaining claims with prejudice. “Without admitting liability, Defendant nevertheless wishes to resolve this matter,” the judge said. Last November, the parties noted that GKN had agreed to pay each of the the two plaintiffs a settlement payment, but the amounts were redacted.
