Giuliani Remains In Contempt Despite Defamation Fight Settlement

Rudolph Giuliani remains in contempt of court after a federal judge refused to excuse his failure to timely respond to a court order demanding he acknowledge the defamation judgment against him.

The former New York City mayor now has a $1800 fine because of his delayed response, though the US District Court for the District of Columbia said that the fine won’t grow as he goes forward with a settlement deal he reached with Georgia election workers who successfully sued him for defamation.
